Google has picked up the pace with its new AI model releasesāreleasing two new industry-leading models within three months of each otherāhowever, itās failed to publish any safety reports for its most recent releases, raising concerns over the lack of transparency and safety protocols.
Google launched āits state-of-the-artā agentic image generator, Gemini 2.0 Flash in January, and 3 months later, revealed its advanced AI reasoning model, Gemini 2.5 Pro, as a strategic move to counter competitors.
However, itās yet to publish any safety reportsāoften called model/system cards, which inform the public about model performance, safety testing, and risksāfor either model, leaving many questioning Google's priorities.
Ironically, Google was the first to support these model/system cards, suggesting they should be used for responsible AI development, but it's been over a year since they published one (the last was for Gemini 1.5 Pro).
Tulsee DoshiāHead of Product for Geminiāhas defended this decision, saying that Gemini 2.5 Pro had been through safety testing, but because itās still in its āexperimentalā and feedback-gathering phase, a model/system card will not be released until the model is officially launched to the public, but itās worth noting that Gemini 2.0 Flash is already publically availableā¦ and is still without a model/system card.
The AI consulting market is about to grow by a factor of 8X ā from $6.9B to $54.7B in 2032.
But how does an AI enthusiast become an AI consultant?

As recently as February, Microsoft confirmed it was planning to spend over $80B, primarily on AI data centers, in 2025, but reports have now revealed that itās significantly pulled back on its global data center projects, plans, and commitments.
Itās reportedly halted discussions and delayed AI data center development in Australia, the UK, Indonesia, and several US states, such as Illinois, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Itās allegedly withdrawn from negotiations to lease a space in the UKābetween London and Cambridgeādesigned to host advanced NVIDIA chips and has halted negotiations for a similar site in Chicago.
Itās also delayed construction work on a data center site outside of Jakarta, Indonesia, and expansion plans for a site in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsinābut this could be due to construction challenges.
Many are questioning the reason for Microsoft's sudden pullback on AI infrastructure, after making such a bold commitment just three months ago: Some believe itās purely down to temporary construction issues like power shortages and building materials, while others speculate that itās down to predictions of diminished demand after the likes of Chinese AI startup, DeepSeek, proved that AI models can be built and trained on fewer AI chips and compute power than originally thought.
Amazon is testing a new agentic AI-powered shopping featureācalled āBuy for Meā which can purchase products from third-party sites, without leaving the Amazon Shopping appāon a small subset of users.
If Amazon doesnāt sell what the user is looking for, the Buy for Me feature will show products from other sites and Amazon will buy the item, using the customer shipping/payment details stored within the platform.
Itās reassured users that Buy for Me uses encryption to āsecurelyā input payment details into third-party sites, but many are concerned about leaving AI to handle such delicate transactions.
Youāve likely received a sketchy call, text, or email asking for $$$. It might've been easy to spot, but with deepfakes and AI, scams are getting trickier.
Scammers use your personal data, often bought legally from data brokers who sell your number, DOB, SSN, and more. Incogni scrubs your data from the web, taking on 200+ data brokers on your behalf.
Unlike others, Incogni deletes your info from all broker types, including people search sites where anyone can get your details for a few bucks.
