Our Report: Notion has just intoduced a new Q&A feature which is designed to act like an AI executive assistant—managing, sorting and filing information as per your requests.
🔑 Key Points:
The feature is available for all Notion users—costing $8 to $10 per person per month—aiming to streamline information retrieval and build upon the AI features already integrated within the platform (note-taking & summarization).
Q&A functions as a mix of search engine and chatbot, capable of answering queries and linking answers to relevant Notion pages provided they’re stored within your Notion workspace.
An example used to illustrate the strengths & limitations of the AI, talking about the Notion CEOs demonstration : “He asked for a list of recent articles by David Pierce (that’s me!), which it answered with links to the database pages for those articles. Then, he asked if there were any companies I hadn’t written about recently; the bot, with a combination of Notion data and the so-called “world knowledge” said it had been a while since I wrote about Amazon.”
🤨 Why you should care: This innovation by Notion represents a significant leap in AI-assisted data management, and is a very welcome upgrade to our incredibly outdated method of relying entirely on our mental capacity to store & retrieve information.

Censorship is one of ChatGPT's weak points.
It refuses to answer certain questions.
And it's not always about sensitive topics.

YouTube has updated its policies to address the increasing presence of AI-generated videos, with mandatory disclosure requirements for creators who use AI to create realistic, altered, or synthetic content, aiming to provide viewers with context, particularly for sensitive topics.
YouTube is also introducing tools for the removal of deepfakes and AI-generated content, especially those simulating identifiable individuals. Furthermore, music partners to request the removal of AI-generated music that imitates an artist’s voice (no more Drake x The Weeknd covers on YouTube).
General Motors' (GM) autonomous vehicle unit, Cruise, announced a pause in supervised and manual car trips across the U.S. following an accident (covered this in last week’s newsletter).
Cruise will continue operating vehicles in closed training environments and maintain simulation programs to advance their technology, as well as hiring an external safety expert and a permanent chief safety officer to enhance its safety operations and culture. A lot of very public announcements….
Airbnb has acquired GamePlannerAI, an extremely secretive and amibgious AI startup co-founded by Siri co-founder Adam Cheyer, for approximately $200M.
This acquisition, Airbnb's first since 2019 and its initial one as a public company aligns with Chesky's vision of incorporating generative AI into Airbnb's services, particularly in developing a 'travel concierge' that personalizes experiences for travelers.
