Our Report: Musk has announced the arrival of Grok 1.5 (the latest version of his AI chatbot) which users will be able to access via X (formerly Twitter) over the next few weeks.
🔑 Key Points:
Grok 1.5 has a “Grok Analysis” button that summarizes threads and replies, which (according to Musk) is similar to the “Kowalski analysis” scene in “Penguins of Madagascar”.
It will also come with a feature to help users create posts and improvements to reasoning, coding, and multitasking, suggesting wider applications for Grok.
This follows the news yesterday that X is partnering with Midjourney to allow users to generate and share AI-generated images on X, signifying a significant step-change.
🤨 Why you should care: Musk’s announcement comes days after the release of Google’s Gemini 1.5, sparking rumors about a rivalry between the two AI giants, as both aim to enhance user experience through AI.

Following the launch of OpenAI’s Sora (which uses AI to turn text into video), Microsoft has revealed that it will be integrated into their AI chatbot, Copilot.
This integration would create a powerful new tool for developers, especially, allowing them to leverage the capabilities of both AI models into their work.
Microsoft hasn’t revealed a timeline for the integration, but they have confirmed they’re committed to making it happen, even though it might take some time.

Microsoft is investing $2.1B—over the next two years—to expand its AI and cloud infrastructure in Spain, to support the country's digital transformation.
They’ll also be promoting responsible AI across public and private sectors, fostering innovation, and creating new opportunities for economic growth.
With Microsoft VP (Brad Smith) declaring that their investment reflects a “37-year commitment to Spain and the digital transformation of its government, businesses, and people.”
This follows the revelation (last week) that they’re investing $3.45B to develop data center capacity for AI applications in Germany, further bolstering their AI presence in Europe.
Adobe is adding a new gen-AI feature to its Acrobat PDF management software—called “AI Assistant in Acrobat”—which will “transform the digital document experience.”
Described as a “conversational engine”, the AI assistant will summarize long documents, answer questions, and format information to share in emails, reports, and presentations.
Adobe confirmed that—although the model was built using the OpenAI platform—it’s been developed in line with their AI ethics processes, so no data will be stored or used to train it.
The new feature (which can be used with all Adobe document formats, including Word and PowerPoint) is available now (in beta) to paying Acrobat users.
In response to the rise in AI-generated fake profiles (that have scammed over 70,000 singles), Tinder is expanding its ID verification protocols to UK, Brazil, US, and Mexican daters.
To receive a blue tick (which confirms that a person is an authentic, genuine user), users will now have to upload a passport or driving license, as well as a video selfie and profile photos.
A third-party vendor will then check whether the user's date of birth, video selfie, and profile photos match their photo ID, a process that will take 1-2 minutes.
They’ve already trialed the new process in New Zealand and Australia, and users who completed it saw a 67% increase in matches, compared with unverified users.
Over the past year, AI Tool Report has worked with Hubspot, Brave Browser, SurfShark, Guidde, Graft & many more—presenting their AI products/services to over 490,000 AI enthusiasts, boasting:
A consistent 52% open rate
Best-in-class ad performance
A growing ecosystem of AI products/services
❗️BREAKING: Adobe has created a new 50-person AI research org called CAVA (Co-Creation for Audio, Video, & Animation).
I can’t help but wonder if OpenAI’s Sora has been a wake up call for Adobe to formalize and accelerate their video and multimodal creation efforts?
