Our Report: OpenAI's first dev day has come with some huge announcements, including the ability to build, publish, and monetize your own GPT models through the OpenAI GPT store!
🔑 Key Points:
OpenAI has marked a significant milestone with over 100M weekly users of ChatGPT and 2M developers leveraging its API (software using ChatGPT).
They’ve also launched GPT-4 Turbo, featuring a larger context window and the ability to process both text and images, as well as a DALL-E 4 API, and an Audio API to enhance text-to-speech with 7 new AI voices
The biggest announcement: you can now build your own GPT bots without any prior coding expertise (can also publish them on the GPT store and be paid for them), and enterprise customers can build them over their company’s knowledge.
Lastly, OpenAI has announced the Copyright Shield program, demonstrating a commitment to supporting businesses against IP infringement claims in the use of its AI products.
🤨 Why you should care: For those without coding or technical knowledge, this could be a potentially huge update—with OpenAI catalyzing a future of AI innovation through their no-code solutions.

Microsoft is collaborating with Inworld AI (the most advanced character engine for AI NPCS) to give Xbox developers tools for creating AI-driven game characters and narratives.
Inworld AI's technology enables characters to interact realistically with players, enhancing the immersiveness of gaming; however, it also raises concerns about its impact on creative jobs (could be cause for concern considering the recent Actor’s Guild strikes).
OpenAI's DevDay conference has revealed a wealth of new advancements for devs & enterprises, including a more knowledgeable/cost-effective GPT-4 model, a platform for custom chatbots without coding, and a "copyright shield" for legal protection.
We’ve been seeing this for months now, but we expect to see a massive amount of industry adoption over the coming weeks and months (unlike most predictions that assumed individuals would be the first to reach mass adoption).
Lidl owner and Bosch Ventures have decided to co-lead a $500M Series B into German AI startup Aleph Alpha—which purely focuses on AI for enterprises & governments—marking a significant investment in the German AI landscape (the German government only expect to invest $1B over the next 2 years).
Aleph Alpha’s big selling point is that they’re pushing "full sovereignty" meaning data that is stored in a certain country is subject to that country’s laws—reducing their reliance on lawmakers from the US.
The AI Tool Report just became the fastest-growing AI newsletter in the world, with 450,000+ readers working at companies like Apple, Meta, Google, Microsoft, and many more. We’re now booked out 4 weeks in advance, due to a massive surge in demand. Book your ad spot before someone else does…
